Can I donate anonymously ?

Yes. There is a check-box. If checked, your name must be only entered for credit card processing,
and will not be forwarded to the Fund-Drive owner. They will only see the amount you donated, marked
as anonymous. Another check-box allows you to keep your name off the public list of donors, while
letting the Drive owner see your name.

Can I send thank you messages to donors ?

Yes. You may click to send a thank you response to each donor who did not click to donate anonymously.

If I donate, will my email address end up on mailing list(s) where I will be hounded forever ?

No. PFM is strictly against that kind of practice.
However, if you choose, you may click to set up a periodic monthly or yearly reminder message for
periodic donations of a favorite cause.

How can I be sure I am giving to a cause that is for real and is legit ?

We recommend that you only donate to Drives run by people you know and trust.
All Drives must have a physical street address that we verify before a Drive can become active.
This aids in any legal enforcement, should it become ncessary.
We reserve the right to reject any Drive that does not meet our standards for positive purposes and worthy causes.
However, there are limits in our abiliy to verify ultimate utilization of funds collected.
Therefore we also rely on community policing by our users, donors, and independent defenders.
We provide a Complain button on every Drive page,
where users can register suspicious activity and concerns.
We actively seek to quickly disable any non-legitimate accounts. No bit-coins here.
Our processes help to maintain the validity of the Drives we host - to the best of our ability.
